Getting started
How does the free trial work?+
Create an account and you get full access for 7 days — no credit card required. Subscribe any time during or after the trial to keep going. When the trial ends without a subscription, your data stays safe and exportable; you just can’t add to it until you subscribe.
What belt level is this for?+
The library focuses on high-percentage fundamentals — white to purple belts get the most out of it. The journal, round timer, goals and game planner are useful at any level, including coaches tracking their own training.
Does it work for both gi and no-gi?+
Yes. Every technique is tagged gi / no-gi / both, sessions record which ruleset you trained, and your stats track both separately.
Is there a mobile app?+
BJJ Learner is a fast web app that installs to your home screen on both iOS and Android (Share → Add to Home Screen). Native store listings are on the way — your account and data will carry over automatically.
Pricing & billing
How much does it cost?+
$6/month, $59.99/year (about $5/month — two months free), or $99 once for lifetime access. Every plan starts with the same 7-day free trial.
How do I cancel?+
Settings → Manage subscription opens the billing portal where you can cancel, switch plans, or update your payment method in a few clicks. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you already paid for.
What happens to my data if I stop subscribing?+
Nothing is deleted. You can sign in and export everything as JSON at any time. If you resubscribe later, you pick up exactly where you left off.
Do you offer refunds?+
The 7-day trial exists so you never pay for something you haven’t tried. If something has gone wrong with a charge, contact us and we’ll sort it out.
Training & data
How long does logging a session take?+
About two minutes. Pick date/duration/type, tap the techniques you drilled, add a line about your rolls. Drafts autosave, so a phone lock never loses an entry.
What makes the proficiency tracking honest?+
Five levels — untrained, learning, drilling, hitting, reliable. Flashcard reviews can only raise a technique to “drilling/hitting”; the top of the ladder has to be earned in live rolls. Your game plan is built from what actually lands.
Can I import my old training data?+
If you kept a JSON backup from an earlier version of BJJ Learner, Settings → Import restores it. For other formats, export/import uses a documented JSON shape you can convert into.
Is my data private?+
Yes. Your journal is visible only to your account. We don’t run ads, we don’t sell data, and you can export or delete everything at any time. See the privacy policy for details.
