Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

The short version

  • Your training journal is private to your account.
  • We don't run ads and we never sell your data.
  • You can export everything, or delete everything, at any time.

1. What we collect

  • Account data — your email address and authentication identifiers, handled by our sign-in provider (Clerk).
  • Training data — the sessions, techniques, proficiency ratings, promotions, goals and notes you record in the app.
  • Billing data — subscription status and product identifiers from our billing provider (RevenueCat). Card details are handled entirely by the payment processor; we never see or store them.
  • Technical data — standard server logs (IP address, user agent) kept briefly for security and debugging.

2. What we use it for

  • Providing the Service: storing your journal and syncing it across your devices.
  • Managing trials, subscriptions and access levels.
  • Transactional messages (receipts, important account or policy changes).
  • Keeping the Service secure and diagnosing problems.

We do not sell personal data, share it with advertisers, or use your training journal for anything other than showing it back to you.

3. Who processes it

We use a small set of processors to run the Service: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Clerk (authentication) and RevenueCat with its payment partners (billing). Each receives only what it needs for its role.

4. Retention, export & deletion

  • Your data is retained while your account exists — including through lapsed subscriptions, so you can come back any time.
  • Export: Settings → Export downloads your complete training data as JSON.
  • Deletion: Settings → Delete all data wipes your training records immediately; deleting your account removes your remaining personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.

5. Cookies

We use only the cookies required to keep you signed in and secure. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in Europe, CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, port, restrict or delete your personal data. The in-app export and deletion tools cover most of these directly; for anything else, email us and we'll help.

7. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes & contact

We'll announce material changes to this policy in the app or by email. Questions or requests: support@bjjlearner.com.
